Package Handler (Warehouse)

Role & Responsibilities

The position involves physically handling parcels through loading, unloading, and manual sorting, ensuring safety and efficiency. Tasks include lifting, pushing, pulling, transporting, and placing packages across various zones and stations such as scanning, weighing, quality assurance, and palletizing. The role may require training others in handling techniques, verifying air-restricted shipments, and following safety standards. Key duties also include operating equipment like conveyor systems, scanners, and carts, and performing continuous repetitive movements. Additional responsibilities involve instructing new team members, maintaining safety protocols, and supporting process improvements.

Qualifications & Skills

No prior experience is required, but familiarity with handling equipment, ability to follow safety instructions, and basic reading skills are essential. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license if operating vehicles and demonstrate good communication and teamwork skills. Specialized training or experience is preferred for certain roles, including certification for equipment use or air shipment procedures. Ability to lift between 5-50 pounds and work in noisy or temperature-variable environments is necessary.
