Indigo Park Canada is seeking a motivated and service-oriented professional to join our Halifax team as a Parking Enforcement Officer / Customer Service Representative. This position offers the opportunity to work independently, engage with customers, promote compliance with parking regulations, and contribute to the safety and efficiency of our parking operations. - Serve as a Customer Service Representative, assisting customers on-site and handling calls.
- Maintain close communication with dispatch using a two-way radio or cell phone.
- Relay information about incidents or emergencies to the appropriate personnel.
- Issue warnings and citations for improperly parked vehicles.
- Identify vehicles in violation of parking codes.
- Report hazardous conditions like missing traffic signs or street markings.
- Identify and report suspicious objects or vehicles.
- Monitor environmental conditions for potential hazards such as ice.
- Use a hand-held device to input and retrieve vehicle information.
- Investigate and address complaints related to contested parking citations.
- Keep detailed operational records including activity logs and contested citations.
- Collect fees from parking meters.
- Maintain and manage assigned equipment.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks and report any mechanical issues to the Manager.
- Perform any other assigned duties as needed.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of customer service experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to maintain a professional attitude in various situations.
- Proficient in working well within a team setting.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Able to handle a fast-paced work environment and work effectively under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and keen observation skills.
- Demonstrates pride in delivering high-quality service.
- Accurate data entry skills.
- Possession of a valid provincial driver's license.
- Clean driver's abstract.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Successfully pass a criminal record check.
- Enthusiasm for continuous learning, coaching, and training.
- Results-driven individual focused on accuracy and strong customer relations.
