The People & Culture Manager, Canada partners closely with leaders to foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture while ensuring compliance with applicable federal and provincial employment legislation and company policies. This role supports DLF's commitment to attracting, developing, and retaining exceptional talent while advancing organizational goals and business performance.
This is an onsite, in-person position based at the Lindsay, Ontario office.
The position requires unquestionable integrity, strict confidentiality, sound judgment, and an approachable, solutions-focused leadership style.
Job Responsibilities:
DLF Canada Inc. offers a competitive compensation plan with base salary, bonus available, benefits that include medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, a Group RRSP with company match plan, vacation and paid personal days. Compensation will be based on experience.

Job Responsibilities:
- Partner with leaders to develop and execute People & Culture strategies that support business objectives and organizational growth.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on employee relations, performance management, organizational effectiveness, and workforce planning.
- Lead recruitment and talent acquisition activities to attract, select, and retain top talent.
- Oversee onboarding programs to ensure successful employee integration and engagement.
- Manage employee relations matters, including workplace investigations, conflict resolution, accommodations, and policy interpretation.
- Support performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, development planning, and corrective action.
- Administer employee benefit programs, retirement savings plans, leave programs, and wellness initiatives.
- Partner with leaders on compensation planning, salary administration, and market competitiveness reviews.
- Develop and facilitate leadership, professional development, and employee training programs.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives and recommend strategies to improve retention and workplace culture.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal and provincial employment legislation, human rights requirements, privacy laws, and company policies.
- Maintain and enhance People & Culture policies, programs, and practices to support organizational effectiveness and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee HRIS administration, employee records management, and workforce reporting and analytics.
- Partner with Safety and Operations leaders to support occupational health and safety initiatives and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and support organizational change initiatives while fostering a culture of accountability, inclusion, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive Human Resources or People & Culture experience.
- Thorough knowledge of Canadian employment legislation and human resources best practices.
- Experience supporting multiple provinces and business locations preferred.
- Strong employee relations and workplace investigation experience.
- Experience administering benefits, retirement savings programs, leave programs, and total rewards initiatives.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication, coaching, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout Canada and North America as required.
- CHRP, CHRL, CPHR, or equivalent professional designation.
- Experience supporting manufacturing, agriculture, seed, distribution, or related industries.
- Experience leading organizational change, leadership development, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
