Plumber
Royal York Property Management
Date: 6 hours ago
City: Brampton, ON
Contract type: Full time
Maintenance, Plumbing, Skilled Trades
Compensation: Competitive appointment-based and hourly compensation based on experience, verified qualifications, approved scope of work, and the type of plumbing appointment assigned.
Royal York Property Management is one of Canada’s leading property management companies, managing thousands of residential rental properties across Ontario and beyond. We are looking for experienced, reliable Plumbers to join our growing network of service professionals.
This role involves travelling to residential properties to diagnose plumbing issues and complete repairs, service calls, and installations within your verified legal scope. Plumbers will work independently, manage appointments through a mobile work app, document their findings, and complete assigned work safely while protecting the property from leaks and water damage.
What to Expect After Applying
If your resume aligns with the role, you will receive an email within 24 to 48 hours of applying with a link to complete a pre-recorded online interview.
The interview allows us to learn more about your plumbing experience, trade status, ability to work independently, areas of expertise, diagnostic ability, tools, vehicle, availability, and comfort using a mobile work app before moving qualified candidates to the next stage of the hiring process.
What You’ll Do
Plumbers will only be assigned work that matches their verified experience, trade status, insurance, contractor or business setup, and legal authority.
Plumber trade status and the legal ability to accept plumbing work through a business or contractor setup are separate requirements. Before any plumbing work is assigned, Royal York Property Management will verify that the work can be completed through an appropriate legal setup.
Larger or specialized work, including rough-ins, sewer or underground work, backflow services, water heaters, gas-related work, major pipe changes, and permit-heavy projects, will only be assigned after the technician’s qualifications, certifications, scope, and legal requirements have been reviewed and approved.
Plumbers are expected to stop and report work that is unsafe, outside their approved scope, or requires a permit, inspection, certification, or different specialist.
