GFL Environmental is looking for a Portables Delivery Driver to join our team in Edmonton, AB!

As a driver you will safely operate delivery truck and ancillary equipment on an assigned route, to service customers in a safe and efficient manner.

Requirements:

  • Licensing: Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean Driver’s Abstract.
  • Driving Experience: Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience.
  • Equipment Operation: Demonstrated ability to safely operate the vehicle and equipment.
  • Safety Commitment: Ability to successfully satisfy all company standards for safety-sensitive operational roles.
  • Reliability: Strong attendance record and flexibility to support early morning start schedules and operational overtime when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safe Fleet Operation: Operate a delivery truck, ancillary equipment and pumping system to service and/or clean porta let units on a specified route.
  • Safety Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections daily and complete required trip logs and paperwork.
  • Deliver Excellence: Load and unload equipment on trucks and trailers. Load and Unload Portable Units
  • System Operations: Operate truck and equipment using prescribed techniques to eliminate driver-induced mechanical failures.
  • Reporting & Maintenance: Complete pre-trip and post-trip safety lane inspections and reports, daily truck report, route sheets and other documentation requested by supervisor daily.
  • Service Quality: Maintain high route productivity, customer service standards, and vehicle cleanliness. Maintain accurate records of services performed.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, municipal bylaws, company safety policies, and required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Communicate vehicle mechanical problems to supervisor immediately.
  • Additional Duties: Maintain inventory of all portlets units, wash stations, holding tanks and spare parts available and recommend purchase of additional equipment and spare parts to supervisor. Perform other operational duties as assigned by leadership.
