Role Overview

Reporting to the Superintendent, Supply Chain Management, the Procurement Coordinator (Temporary) supports the Procurement and Warehouse functions through supplier performance management, contract administration, supplier risk management, systems support, training coordination, procurement activities and process improvement initiatives. The role serves as a key liaison between suppliers, warehouse operations, procurement personnel, and business stakeholders to ensure reliable supply, effective contract performance, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement of supply chain processes..

To be successful, we are looking for someone with a combination of commercial, systems, warehousing and technical education/experience who possesses excellent organization, analytics, time management and problem-solving skills. Additionally, this preferred candidate must excel at building positive relationships with various stakeholders (internal and external) and be able to develop and support system improvements, commercial strategies and to reduce potential risk to the Trail Operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be a courageous safety leader and adhere to all safety, health, environmental, and compliance requirements
  • Manage supplier performance and risk programs, including scorecards, performance reviews, risk registers, and mitigation activities
  • Support warehouse supply and replenishment contracts through contract monitoring, supplier engagement, issue resolution, and performance improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with suppliers, warehouse operations, end users, and procurement personnel to support supply continuity and evaluate alternative materials and parts
  • Support procurement activities including purchase order administration, problem resolution, and process improvements
  • Provide support for procurement, warehouse, and supply chain systems, including user support, reporting, testing, documentation, and data maintenance
  • Maintain Supply Chain Management training records, competency matrices, and compliance requirements, and coordinate training sessions for employees and contractors
  • Prepare reports and analyses and support continuous improvement initiatives across Procurement and Warehouse operations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Computer Sciences or related area is required. A combination between education and experience will be considered
  • 5 years experience in a Supply Chain Management, Business Analyst , Operations, Maintenance or Project Management related role in on an industrial site is required.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as Oracle (JDE) or SAP S/4HANA /Ariba systems is considered an asset.
  • Operations Experience at the Trail Operations or a Mining and/or processing industry preferred

Pay Range: CAD $95,000 - $118,000 per year

The actual amount offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
