Role

Production Workers are responsible for performing tasks such as shipping, pipe movements and operating production machinery in a safe and efficient manner according to applicable procedures, complying with defined quality standards
Please note: Tenaris requires employees to pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol test and fit test for this position as it is a safety sensitive position.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out duties in an effective manner meeting productivity and efficiency standards.
  • Perform activities according to applicable procedures / work instructions.
  • Complete and maintain necessary records ensuring information accuracy.
  • Ensure proper use of the company assets, detecting and reporting malfunctions.
  • Attend and collaborate in training activities in order to maintain and increase the company knowledge.
  • Proactively suggest improvements and participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Operate forklifts, front loaders and shunt trucks within the yard to safely move, organize, and stage materials in support of production, inventory, and shipping activities.
  • Adhere to all safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Able to respond and work extra hours when required.
  • Participate in meetings (H&S, communications, crew meetings)
  • Maintain a clean, safe, respectful and ordered work environment.
  • Reports hazards and supports implementing corrective action.
  • Abide by all Tenaris policies.

Depending on operational needs and departmental placement, responsibilities may include:

  • Supply Chain – Yards: Operate forklifts, front loaders and shunt trucks within the yard to safely move, organize, and stage materials in support of production, inventory, and shipping activities.
  • ERW (Electric Resistance Welded): Participate in ERW pipe manufacturing operations by supporting equipment setup, monitoring production processes, and maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and operational performance.
  • INCO (Inventory Control) : Support inventory control operations by receiving, tracking, moving, and organizing materials while maintaining inventory accuracy, product traceability, and efficient workflow throughout the facility.
  • Hot Rolling Mill: Assist in the processing and movement of steel products through rolling operations while maintaining productivity, quality, and safety requirements.
  • Heat Treatment: Support heat treatment operations by loading, unloading, and monitoring materials through thermal processing equipment while following established operating procedures.
  • Finishing: Perform finishing activities including inspection, preparation, packaging, marking, and movement of finished products to meet customer specifications and quality standards.
  • Quality: Conduct inspections, measurements, and testing activities to verify product conformance and support continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is a minimum requirement.
  • Candidates must successfully complete Fit & Drug testing, pre-employment medical and online assessments to be hired.
  • Class G drivers license or higher is considered an asset (AZ, DZ etc.)
  • Forklift license or driving experience is considered an asset.

Skills:
  • This role involves a considerable amount of standing and walking (up to 12 hours per shift).
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs throughout the shift.
  • Must be comfortable working at various heights and willing to climb stairs.
  • Proven troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is very important.
  • Ability to listen, to express thoughts and ideas to others and present information, written and/or verbal in a
  • clear, concise, logical manner.
  • Must be able to read, write and comprehend English work instructions.
  • Mechanical aptitude is necessary, plus a strong command of basic math skills (addition, subtraction,
  • multiplication and division).
  • Able to work independently with the ability to co-operate, assist others, possess a positive attitude, build
  • relationships and takes part in teams and committees.
  • Must work in a safe manner, following health and safety policies and procedures.

Wage: Starting at $23.17 / hr
Schedule:
  • 12 hour shift, 28 day rotation
  • Day & Night shift required
