As we continue to grow, we are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Purchasing Specialist to join our team at our Markham Head Office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end purchasing process for toys, games, collectibles, and specialty merchandise.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with vendors, distributors, and manufacturers.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to optimize profitability.
  • Monitor inventory levels and sales trends to effectively plan restocks and new product acquisitions.
  • Collaborate closely with merchandising and retail teams to ensure the right products reach the right stores at the right time.
  • Review purchase orders for accuracy and ensure timely processing.
  • Analyze sales performance and product lifecycle to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Track shipments and proactively resolve issues related to delivery or product discrepancies.
  • Research new trends, products, and suppliers to continuously expand our assortment.
  • Coordinate with accounting and warehouse teams on invoicing and receiving matters.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of demand planning, purchasing, and inventory management experience specifically within toys and games industry .
  • 3 years of specific TCG category management is highly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite is required.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for games, toys, collectibles, and pop culture is a definite asset.
