Position Description

Title: Quality Assurance Engineer

Department: Quality

Immediate Supervisor: Quality Manager

Status: Exempt Salaried

Position Purpose: Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality standards, systems, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure product and process compliance. This role supports production, drives problem-solving, and ensures adherence to customer and regulatory requirements.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and process performance
  • Develop, maintain, and validate quality standards, procedures, and product specifications
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) using tools such as 8D and 5 Whys
  • Analyze production data and quality trends to identify issues and drive improvements
  • Prepare and maintain quality documentation, reports, and procedures
  • Support incoming materials, in-process, and finished goods inspection standards
  • Participate in internal and external audits and ensure compliance with ISO and customer requirements
  • Provide statistical analysis and technical support across departments
  • Communicate customer concerns and quality issues in operational meetings
  • Train employees on quality processes and standards as required
  • Support lab testing and special projects as assigned
  • Additional duties as assigned

Essential Skills And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or quality-related field
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Six Sigma certification (Green or Black Belt) preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
