About The Role.

The Scheduler plays a critical role in ensuring the timely delivery of fit-for-purpose raw potatoes to the Coaldale facility. Reporting directly to the Field Manager with a dotted-line relationship to the AG Operations Lead, this role serves as a key link between Agriculture, Plant Operations, and Growers to align raw material quality and volume with production requirements. By leveraging scheduling systems, data insights, and operational planning tools, the Scheduler supports operational excellence, food safety, and finished product quality across Southern Alberta operations.

What You’ll Be Doing.

  • Own the daily scheduling and supply of raw potatoes to support production schedules and facility requirements.
  • Analyze raw material quality data and finished product requirements to ensure the right raw material is delivered to the right product stream.
  • Act as the primary interface between Plant Operations, Growers, and Agricultural Operations to support fit-for-purpose raw delivery.
  • Maintain accurate potato quality, food safety, inventory, and scheduling data within digital systems.
  • Partner with Production teams to review short-term and long-term raw quality and volume requirements.
  • Manage short-term planning for inventory, potato usage, logistics, and raw quality throughout the year.
  • Coordinate sampling activities and reporting during the storage season while supporting long-term pile management strategies.
  • Serve as the primary contact for transportation providers and oversee short-term logistics planning.
  • Champion safety by modeling proper PPE usage, supporting machine safety practices, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

What You’ll Need To Be Successful.

  • Experience in agriculture, manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain effective cross-functional and external partnerships.
  • Experience coordinating logistics activities and managing transportation requirements.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and sound decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the growing region and between operational locations as required.
  • Working knowledge of digital tools and systems, including Excel, Power BI, and AI-enabled technologies.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs and work non-standard hours during peak operational periods when required.

About The Team.

You will be part of the Southern Alberta Agricultural Operations team, working closely with Field Management, AG Operations, Plant Production, Quality, and Logistics. This highly collaborative team serves as a critical connection between the farming community and plant operations, ensuring quality, efficiency, and continuity of raw material supply throughout the production season for the Coaldale facility.
