JOB SUMMARY

Are you a strategic IT professional with a knack for orchestrating complex software deployments? Do you excel at bridging the gap between business needs, external vendors, and technical execution?

We are looking for a Release Analyst to manage, coordinate, and optimize the release and change management lifecycle across AGLC’s enterprise platforms. Operating as a critical delivery facilitator, you will provide the technical oversight and process governance needed to deliver structured, stable deployments into production. If you have advanced critical thinking skills and the communication expertise to navigate alignment conversations between IT teams, business partners, and external vendors, this role offers an incredible platform for your career.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Release Governance & Oversight: Manage request intake, triage, and issue prioritization while ensuring all vendor deliverables and release activities strictly adhere to AGLC change management guidelines.
  • Technical Reviews: Conduct formal technical reviews of Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates, Change Orders (COs), and vendor configurations.
  • Operational Coordination: Lead incident, problem, and change management workflows. You will troubleshoot complex production incidents across multiple layers of the technology stack and support ERP platforms to ensure business continuity.
  • Documentation & Metrics: Maintain functional documentation, support procedures, and operational runbooks while monitoring production deployment metrics and interface logs.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Facilitate solutioning workshops to drive stakeholder consensus on sustainable fixes and perform comprehensive impact assessments across business processes, applications, and downstream systems.
  • Project Management & Mentorship: Consult with project sponsors and IT staff to determine project scopes, contribute technical expertise to Statement of Work (SOW) development, and actively mentor team members on release management procedures.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • A University Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, plus a minimum of 2 years of related experience. Preference will be given to individuals who have led projects. Recent graduates with the required technical foundation are encouraged to apply.
  • Exceptional communication skills to translate abstract technical deployment risks into clear business terms for stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor for platform support.
  • Advanced analytical capabilities to proactively identify platform issues, risks, system dependencies, and continuous improvement opportunities with minimal direction.
  • Ability to monitor, audit, and log external vendor hours against service level expectations to ensure effective resource utilization.

NOTE:

  • To be eligible to work for AGLC, you must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or eligible to work in Canada.
  • While we appreciate all applications we receive, we advise that only candidates under consideration will be contacted.
  • As a condition of employment, you will be required to obtain a satisfactory security clearance and clean drivers abstract (if necessary) prior to employment.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Candidates with lesser qualifications may be considered at a lower classification and salary. This recruitment may be used to fill future vacancies.
  • AGLC is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
