What You’ll Be Doing
Duties And Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and pursue new sales opportunities through cold calling, site visits, networking, and referrals.
- Consistently generate qualified leads, build a strong pipeline, and close new rental business.
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with contractors, project managers, and decision-makers.
- Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Conduct on-site visits to assess customer needs and recommend equipment solutions that maximize productivity and safety.
- Stay informed on market trends, jobsite activity, competitor offerings, and product innovations to position Cooper as the partner of choice.
- Negotiate rental agreements and pricing with confidence and professionalism.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring customers receive prompt solutions and reliable follow-up.
- Accurately track activities, opportunities, and customer interactions in the CRM system.
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and community functions to build brand presence and expand market share.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to ensure client satisfaction and long-term relationships.
- Analyze customer needs and requirements, and present customers with equipment rental solutions.
Qualifications And Requirements
- Valid Class G driver’s license with a clean or satisfactory driver’s abstract (no more than three demerit points). You will be required to provide a copy of your updated driver’s abstract upon request.
- Minimum Grade 12 diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in a related field is an asset but is not required.
- Proven success in B2B Outside Sales with a hunter mindset—experience in the construction equipment rental industry or a related field is a strong asset.
- Thorough understanding of the construction industry, and of equipment rental fleet operations is an asset.
- Knowledge of pump equipment and/or power generation equipment is a strong asset.
- Demonstrated track record of exceeding sales targets and consistently growing a territory.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills; able to interact professionally with customers (at all levels), as well as with your teammates.
- Highly self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to thrive in a competitive environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms; familiarity with SRM software is a plus.
- Team-player, with the ability to interact with both customers and colleagues in a professional manner.
