Northern Strands is growing, and we're on the lookout for a passionate, detail-driven Rigger/Warehouse (Manufacturing) Labourer, whose primary responsibilities are building wire rope slings and rigging assemblies, building chain rigging assemblies, and spooling rope. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test will be required as a condition of employment.

Work Location: This position requires employees to work from the Regina, SK office/shop 100% of the time during scheduled work hours. Remote or hybrid work arrangements are not available.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Perform or assist with building wire rope slings and assemblies
  • Perform or assist with building or filling chain orders
  • Perform or assist with reeling rope for customer orders
  • Perform or assist with restocking wire rope on racking and pallet racks
  • Prepare and pack goods to be shipped
  • Assist with loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other conveyances
  • Inspect and verify incoming goods against packing lists or other documents; record shortages, and reject damaged goods
  • Operate a pallet jack, hand truck, forklift or other equipment as necessary
  • Pick items to fill customer requests from Order Desk
  • Assist with regular inventory cycle counts
  • Perform general facilities cleaning and maintenance
  • Interact courteously with customers, vendors and co-workers, displaying professional conduct
  • Other related duties as assigned

What You Bring To The Table

  • Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Minimum two (2) years work experience in a manufacturing environment would be preferred
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Strong time-management skills
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Physically fit and able to safely lift and handle heavy loads as required
  • Possess a positive and professional attitude, set a high standard, and convey professionalism at all times
  • Any valid safety-related training certificates would be considered an asset (i.e., Forklift, First Aid/CPR)
  • Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada on a full-time permanent basis
