Tacten is seeking a professional and forward-thinking Journeyperson Pipefitters to join our team for the upcoming Marine Loading Arms (MLA) job at the LNG site in Kitimat, BC!
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing operations team while working with industry-leading rope access technology. As part of this role, all Pipefitters will receive IRATA Rope Access Training and Certification to support operations at site.

Position Details
- Start Date September 7, 2026
- Site/Location LNG in Kitimat, BC. Relocation is required!
- Shift/Hours 40 hrs./week and possible overtime
- Hourly Rate $58.00/hr. depending on certifications and experience
- Relocation We are able to offer up to 3 months of temporary housing to assist with your relocation transition if required.
- Installation and assembling of piping systems.
- Interpreting blueprints and specifications to determine the layout and dimensions of the pipes
- Identifying and fixing leaks, replacing damaged pipes, and performing routine inspections to ensure the integrity of the system
- Testing and ensuring the quality of pipe installations
- Journeyperson Pipefitter Certification required
- IRATA Level 1 or 2 certification or a willingness to obtain - training can be provided
- Mechanical background and solid understanding of Hydraulic system pumps etc.
- Current safety certifications as required by client and provincial standards in BC
- Located in Kitima, BC or willing to relocate
- Strong work ethics
- Ability to maintain positive working relations with clients
- Exceptional safety and quality awareness
- Ability to solve problems and manage time effectively
- Self-motivated and capable of working at a high technical and performance level
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driver's abstract
- Effective communication in English
- Proficiency/experience in trades/industrial settings
- Familiarity with LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) operations
- Background in mechanical operations
