Security Guard – Saint John’s, Newfoundland

$19.00/hour | Part-Time

Allied Universal is currently seeking professional Security Guards to join our team in Saint John’s, Newfoundland.

As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment, monitoring site activities, and responding to situations requiring professionalism, sound judgment, and effective communication.

Position Details

Position: Security Guard

Location: Saint John’s, Newfoundland

Employment Type: Part-Time

Pay Rate: $19.00/hour

Qualifications & Madatory Requirements

• Must have resided in Canada for the past five (5) years.
• Valid Security Guard License.
• Valid First Aid certification.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Customer Service certification (mandatory).
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is an asset.
• Experience with CCTV, access control, or alarm systems is an asset.
• High school diploma (or equivalent) or relevant work experience.
• Must successfully complete a five (5)-year background investigation.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Control access points and verify authorization for entry onto the site.
• Conduct regular security patrols to ensure the protection of the property.
• Monitor site activities and report any unusual or suspicious situations.
• Respond professionally to incidents, emergencies, and requests for assistance.
• Monitor security systems, including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
• Complete clear and accurate incident reports.
• Ensure compliance with site procedures, security policies, and client requirements.
• Provide excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and client partners.
