Senior Accountant

A high-growth organization is looking to add an Intermediate Accountant to its finance team. This role is well-suited to an accounting professional who enjoys hands-on work with financial data, thrives in a dynamic environment, and takes pride in producing accurate, timely reporting.

About The Role

This position sits within a collaborative finance function and reports into senior accounting leadership. You’ll be involved in core accounting operations that support the organization’s financial integrity, with exposure to both routine processes and ongoing improvement initiatives. The role offers a strong mix of technical accounting, analysis, and cross-team interaction.

What You’ll Do

• Record and validate accounting entries to support accurate financial reporting across the organization
• Perform detailed reconciliations of balance sheet and cash accounts, resolving discrepancies proactively
• Contribute to the completion of monthly and annual close activities within established timelines
• Assist in generating internal and external financial reports, including supporting schedules and analyses
• Review financial results against expectations and identify notable trends or variances for leadership
• Provide support in the preparation and maintenance of budgeting and forecast models
• Coordinate documentation and schedules required for annual audits and other compliance reviews
• Monitor adherence to established financial controls, policies, and accounting procedures
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to provide accounting support and financial guidance as needed
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance accounting processes through continuous improvement initiatives
  
  

What You Bring

• Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or a related discipline
• 2+ years of progressive accounting experience with exposure to general ledger functions
• Progress toward or completion of a professional accounting designation is preferred
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
• Experience working with ERP/accounting systems in a corporate environment
• Advanced spreadsheet and data analysis skills
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams
