You’ll work across safety analysis, licensing, and engineering projects supporting nuclear facilities.

Position Overview

As a Senior Nuclear Analyst, you will lead technical work in nuclear safety and licensing, act as a key point of contact for clients, and support project delivery from planning through execution. You will also mentor team members and contribute to the growth of Calian’s nuclear practice.

Responsibilities

  • Lead nuclear safety and licensing deliverables across projects
  • Act as a subject matter expert and primary client interface
  • Mentor and support development of junior team members
  • Contribute to technical proposals and business development
  • Build and maintain strong client and partner relationships
  • Identify opportunities to expand services and support growth

Qualifications

  • Degree in engineering, physics, or a related field
  • 6–8+ years of experience in nuclear safety, analysis, or licensing
  • Experience in areas such as PSA, DSA, hazard analysis, or safety reporting
  • Familiarity with CNSC regulations and applicable standards (e.g., REGDOCs)
  • Experience with tools such as MCNP, SCALE, GOTHIC, MAAP, or similar
  • Strong communication skills and ability to lead technical work
  • Ability to obtain government of Canada security clearances

Assets:

  • P.Eng designation
  • Participation in industry standards committees (e.g., CSA)

Compensation

$90,000 – $140,000 per annum
