Worley Canada Construction is seeking a Senior Expeditor to join our growing Procurement team in Edmonton, AB. This role is critical to ensuring the successful execution of complex engineered equipment and material deliveries across multiple projects. The successful candidate will bring strong leadership, advanced expediting expertise, and a proactive, risk-focused approach to supply chain execution.

Work Conditions

Edmonton Home Office based schedule. 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead expediting activities across multiple complex equipment packages and project scopes
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior expeditors and project procurement team members
  • Establish expediting priorities aligned with overall project critical path and construction sequencing
  • Interface with project leadership to proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks

Vendor Management and Performance

  • Lead vendor kick-off meetings and set clear expectations for schedule, documentation, and deliverables
  • Drive vendor accountability through proactive communication and performance monitoring
  • Escalate and resolve critical supplier delays, non-conformances, and risk items
  • Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships to support long-term project success

Schedule & Risk Management

  • Monitor and analyze vendor progress against contractual schedules
  • Identify potential schedule impacts early and develop mitigation strategies
  • Lead expediting-related reporting including risk registers and recovery plans

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Coordinate with Procurement, Engineering, Document Control, QA/QC, and Construction teams
  • Support Buyers during bid, evaluation, and award phases with expediting input
  • Ensure timely submission and return of vendor documentation
  • Collaborate with logistics and site teams to align shipping releases

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Oversee expediting reports highlighting critical issues and actions
  • Analyze trends and recommend improvements to expediting processes
  • 5–10+ years of expediting or procurement experience in EPC/EPF projects
  • Demonstrated experience expediting complex engineered equipment packages (mechanical, piping, E&I, process systems)
  • Proven ability to manage supplier performance and resolve critical delivery challenges
  • Experience leading vendor meetings and influencing cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with document control systems (Aconex preferred)
  • Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • Able to communicate, understand, express, and apply basic technical, business, or administrative concepts.
  • Ability to work with and maintain relationships with multiple levels of management
