Senior Java Low Latency Developer

Overview

We’re seeking a Senior Java Low Latency Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications. You’ll work across APIs, microservices, middleware integrations, databases, cloud deployments, and DevOps practices while contributing technical leadership throughout the development lifecycle.

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Mississauga. Hybrid- 3 days in office

Salary Range: $120 - 130 000/ yr

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade Java applications.
• Build RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
• Lead solution design discussions, code reviews, and performance optimization initiatives.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, reliable, and maintainable technical solutions.
• Design and implement APIs, middleware integrations, and event-driven solutions.
• Perform database design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application, integration, and production issues.
• Collaborate with architects, business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to define technical requirements.
• Establish coding standards, development best practices, and quality guidelines.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers through technical guidance and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to CI/CD implementation and DevOps-driven development practices.
• Support cloud-based deployments and modernization initiatives.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives.
  
  

Qualifications

• 8+ yrs of experience developing enterprise-grade applications with Java.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices with Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
• Ability to lead technical design discussions, conduct code reviews, and drive performance optimization.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Knowledge of application scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability.
• Experience with database design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Ability to troubleshoot application, integration, and production issues.
• Strong collaboration and technical communication skills.
• Experience designing middleware integrations and event-driven solutions.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps-driven development practices.
• Experience supporting cloud-based deployments and modernization initiatives.
• Experience mentoring developers and establishing development standards.
