Preferred location: Greater Toronto Area
Role Summary
Senior service Technician is a fully competent field technician capable of independently performing installations, troubleshooting, repairs, and customer training with limited supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Candidates are required to undergo a drug screening after receiving a conditional job offer, but before starting employment.

Role Summary
Senior service Technician is a fully competent field technician capable of independently performing installations, troubleshooting, repairs, and customer training with limited supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently install, service, maintain, and troubleshoot Smurfit Westrock equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues efficiently.
- Perform machinery audits, preventative maintenance, and service visits independently.
- Train customer operators and maintenance personnel effectively.
- Clearly explain repairs performed and preventive recommendations.
- Conduct exit reviews with customers to ensure satisfaction and alignment.
- Ensure service reports, customer signatures, and expense reports are completed accurately.
- Communicate status, issues, and recommendations proactively to Service Management.
- Adhere to utilization targets while maintaining service quality and safety.
- 2–5 years of relevant mechanical and field service experience.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills; working electrical knowledge.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in customer environments.
- Solid understanding of OSHA and site‑specific safety requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- French is an asset
- Moderate proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital reporting tools.
- Travel requirement: Up to 70-80% of domestic travel, international travel is minimal but may occur.
- Must have own transportation
- Extended travel durations may include:
- Short service calls across multiple customer sites
- Standard assignments of 1-2 weeks
- Work hours may vary based on customer production schedules and can include occasional off-shift support.
- Consistently high-quality repairs and installations.
- Strong customer satisfaction feedback.
- Minimal rework or follow‑up issues.
- Reliable utilization and schedule adherence.
- Effective communication with internal teams.
