Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Shop Supervisor to lead our shop Fabrication team. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with strong leadership skills to oversee fabrication teams, maintain high production standards, and ensure safety and efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of pipe fabrication and structural steel fabrication and a proven track record in manufacturing supervision.

This role combines hands-on technical expertise with strong leadership skills to oversee fabrication teams, maintain high production standards, and ensure safety and efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of pipe fabrication and structural steel fabrication and a proven track record in manufacturing supervision.
Core Accountabilities
- Supervise and lead a team of welders and support staff in a fast-paced fabrication environment.
- Plan, organize, and coordinate daily production activities to meet project deadlines.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate staff, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
- Operate and oversee the use of equipment including telehandler, skid steer, band saws, bevellers, CNC cutting equipment, robotic welder and plasma cutters.
- Assemble piping for hydrotest.
- Receive and organize materials
- Coordinate loading of trailers for deliveries.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records of production output, materials, and maintenance activities.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience
- Strong mechanical knowledge and experience with fabrication and hydrotesting.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting isometric drawings and P&IDs.
- Experience with preparation and fit-up in welding shop.
- Forklift experience and certification an asset.
- Superior leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Journeyman Pipefitter.
- Proven ability to manage workflow, maintain structure, and meet deadlines under pressure.
- High attention to detail, good judgment, and the ability to react quickly to production needs.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
- 40+ hours per week
- Standing, walking, and lifting regularly
- Fast-paced environment requiring manual dexterity, repetitive tasks, and extended periods of standing
