The Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst is responsible for monitoring, detecting, analyzing, and responding to cybersecurity incidents using a variety of tools and techniques to protect an organization’s digital assets. Their objective is to ensure timely threat identification and mitigation to maintain the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of systems and data.

In addition to these responsibilities, the SOC Analyst will partner closely with IT and Security teams and contribute to key initiatives across cloud security, detection engineering, and the modernization of security tools and platforms.

What you'll do:

  • Threat Detection and Response: Timely identification, triage, and resolution of security incidents to minimize business impact.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Continuous surveillance of systems and networks, with regular reporting on security posture, incident trends, and operational metrics.
  • Incident Documentation: Accurate and complete documentation of security events, investigations, and response actions for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Tool and Process Optimization: Contribution to the tuning and detection tools, playbooks, and workflows to improve efficiency and reduce false positives.
  • Collaboration and Escalation: Effective communication with internal teams and escalation of critical incidents to ensure coordinated response and remediation
  • Special projects: Participate in key projects across cloud security, detection engineering, security automation, and platform modernization to improve operational effectiveness and reduce organizational risk.

What you bring:

  • 1-2 years IT or cybersecurity related roles
  • Education in Computer Science, IT/Cybersecurity or related field
  • Certifications for Microsoft, AWS, Cybersecurity, Networking are preferred
  • Understanding of network protocols and operating systems
  • Knowledge of security frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, ISO)
  • Security enforcement devices/tools
  • Analytical skills – threat detection & pattern recognition
  • Incident investigation and root cause analysis
  • Prioritization and decision making under pressure

The typical hiring range for this position is $70,000 - $85,000 annually complemented by a bonus plan; the base pay is determined by market location and job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education.
