Salary starts at $25.39/hr at Step 1, plus 16% in lieu of benefits.

Summary of Duties:

Reporting to the Principal/designate, the TA – General provides assistance to teachers (including counsellors and teacher librarians) and to the Principal/ school office, using both computerized and manual systems. The emphasis on duties will vary for each position, based on ongoing school needs.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Grade 12 Graduation (including Information Technology courses)
• Proven success in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with children and adults
• Language programs require fluency in both English and an alternate language (both written and spoken)
• Good organizational, interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills
• Some knowledge of standard office procedures and equipment

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

• St. John's Ambulance-Emergency First Aid Certificate or SOFA with CPR
• Keyboarding skills
• Post-secondary courses in Child Development
