Candidate Profile The Structural BIM Technologist will support our growing Saskatoon team by producing drawings for a variety of building types, including commercial, residential, institutional, and sports/recreation facilities. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, quick learner with a strong desire to continuously develop their skills. A commitment to delivering exceptional client service and building technical expertise to provide practical, creative solutions is essential. Key Responsibilities Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare structural BIM models and drawings from conceptual and design development information.
  • Coordinate structural models with internal teams and external disciplines.
  • Support project delivery by meeting drawing production schedules and quality standards.
  • Produce accurate, high-quality drawings under the direction of Project Engineers.
  • Contribute collaboratively to project teams across a range of building types.

Professional Qualifications

  • Diploma in Engineering Design and Drafting or Architectural Technology from an accredited university or technical college, with coursework in Revit (required).
  • 5-8 years of experience demonstrating strong technical proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Experience in construction and/or consulting services an asset.
  • Solid knowledge of structural drafting across all phases of a project.
  • Ability to conceptualize structural and architectural elements in three dimensions.
  • Detail‑oriented with a strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and technical excellence.
  • Self‑motivated, quick learner with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Collaborative team player capable of working effectively with minimal direction.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to assess information and reach sound conclusions.
  • Dependable and flexible, with willingness to work additional hours when required.
  • Demonstrated commitment to client service and continuous professional growth.
