About the Role We are seeking Production Summer Students to join our team at our Brantford bakery. As a Production Summer Student, you will be accountable for supporting daily production activities by operating and monitoring high‑speed production equipment while maintaining food‑safety, quality, and sanitation standards throughout the summer term Aspire Bakeries’ Summer Student Program provides hands‑on, paid experience in a real manufacturing environment while helping students finance their education and gain valuable workplace skills

Shift & Schedule
- Shift: 12- hour Rotating Continental
- Hours: 6:45 AM – 7:00 PM / 6:45 PM – 7:00 AM
- Weekend availability: Required
- Program Duration: Early May – End of August (full term required)
Compensation
- Hourly Rate: $22.64 + night/weekend premiums
Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing)
- Operate and monitor a high‑speed continuous production line to support efficient output
- Set up, run, and monitor equipment in the filling room to maintain product specifications
- Conduct visual inspections and regrade products as needed to ensure quality standards
- Maintain appropriate stock of raw materials on the line to support continuous flow
- Perform basic cleaning and sanitation tasks to support production and food‑safety requirements
- Enter production and inventory data accurately into warehouse management systems
- Communicate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance to maintain process consistency
- Follow all Health & Safety, GMP, and hygiene requirements while performing manual lifting and line duties
Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)
- Actively enrolled full‑time in a college, university, or trade school program
- Returning to full‑time studies in the fall semester
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn production processes
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, energetic, and safety‑focused
- Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work a 12‑hour rotating continental shift schedule (2 weeks days / 2 weeks nights)
Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)
- Previous experience in food manufacturing or industrial production
- Ability to troubleshoot and make minor equipment adjustments
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
