YOUR MISSION

The Textile Technician will be responsible for developing, manufacturing and delivering textile materials that meet the needs of our shows. Reporting to the head of materials, you support your colleagues in all the required textile processing steps.

Among Other Things, You Will Have To

  • Provide operational and technical support to the Textile Tranformation Team to ensure the quality of deliverables;
  • Manufacture materials - items from technical documents while respecting deadlines and propose technical improvements if necessary;
  • Program the equipment for dyeing, cutting and digital printing (ex: Sublimation)
  • Perform color tests;
  • Prepare the colors and dyes and handle the different tools (squeegee, brush, sponge);
  • Making prints, dyeing colors and patterns (direct application, screen printing, dyeing);
  • Apply sizing, mytex, gilding to the press;
  • Carry out the finishing (unblock, fix, wash, dry, roll up);
  • Participate in the culture of continuous improvement and in the various projects of the costume workshops;
  • Maintain tools and equipment;
  • Ensure a watch on the stocks and products used and participate in the transfilling as needed.

Due to the nature of the position in textiles and dyeing, the individual will regularly work with chemicals, although all necessary safety equipment will be provided to ensure a safe working environment.

YOUR UNIQUE EXPERTISE

  • DEC in textile printing, plastic arts or equivalent;
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of textiles (screen printing, dyeing) or the equivalent;
  • Mastery of the various techniques of chemistry and transformation of textiles;
  • Ability to perform work requiring regular repetitive, precision and meticulous movements that may require some physical effort;
  • Computer skill;
  • Autonomy, sense of work organization, versatility and resourcefulness;
  • Ability to adapt to changes and work with tight deadlines.
