Are you a skilled and enthusiastic transit bus driver? Join us for an unforgettable winter season in the world-class ski resort of Whistler, BC!
Wage: The starting rate is $35.48/hr including for training. Every 600 hours, the wage increases by a dollar top up until the maximum of $39.48/hr.
Training: Exceptional training program for conventional transit drivers at full pay. Expected start date is October 19th, 2026.

Knowledge And Experience
- A valid Class 1 or 2 driver's license with air brake endorsement; upgrades will also be considered for candidates meeting all other criteria.
- Driver's abstract with no more than 5 demerit points and a demonstrated record of safe and responsible driving over the past 5 years.
- Significant skills dealing effectively with the public, including demonstrated skills in conflict resolution, problem solving, and sound decision-making in positions providing customer service.
- Ability to understand, speak, and write English in order to communicate effectively with the traveling public and to report on incidents involving safety and/or service.
- No criminal convictions or pending charges relating directly to the Operator position.
- A good knowledge of Whistler and area is a definite asset.
- Willingness to participate in a comprehensive recruitment process which consists of interviews, trainability session, medical examination (as required for licensing), drug and alcohol screening, and criminal record checks.

- Ability to read maps and navigate.

Customer Transportation:
- Safely transport passengers on a number of assigned routes in Whistler, Squamish and Pemberton.
- Transport customers in accordance with Municipal and Company policies, observing all traffic laws and safety rules and adhering to time schedules.
- Courteously and professionally interact with customers.
- Make general announcements to customers.
- Collect correct fares and ensure valid passes are presented.
- Manage passenger behaviour by quickly and effectively solving problems.
- Drive safely and responsibly and be prepared for all road and traffic conditions.
- Complete a variety of vehicle and incident reports as required.
- Carry out emergency/accident procedures when required.
- Answer inquiries en route.
