Transdev Canada is hiring a Transit Supervisor for our Victoria location.
As a Transit Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating daily transit operations, supporting operators, and ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient service for our customers. You will provide both on-road and in-office leadership, respond to operational challenges, investigate incidents, and work closely with dispatch, maintenance, and management to keep service running smoothly.
This is a full-time, unionized, on-site position based in Victoria, BC.

As a Transit Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating daily transit operations, supporting operators, and ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient service for our customers. You will provide both on-road and in-office leadership, respond to operational challenges, investigate incidents, and work closely with dispatch, maintenance, and management to keep service running smoothly.
This is a full-time, unionized, on-site position based in Victoria, BC.
Your Role
- Provide on-road and in-office supervision of daily transit operations.
- Support operators with service issues, customer interactions, and operational challenges.
- Monitor service delivery, schedule adherence, and route performance.
- Respond to service disruptions, emergencies, customer concerns, and operational incidents.
- Conduct incident investigations, ride-along evaluations, safety inspections, and complete required documentation.
- Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
- Coach, mentor, and support operators to improve performance and customer service.
- Collaborate with dispatch, maintenance, and leadership to maintain reliable service.
- Monitor staffing levels and assist with shift coverage and operational communications.
- Prepare accurate reports related to incidents, investigations, operational activities, and performance.
- Build positive relationships with employees, customers, community partners, and external agencies.
- Participate in special events, service changes, and operational projects as required.
- Competitive hourly wage of $31.06/hour, increasing to $34.19/hour upon successful completion of probation.

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid BC Class 4 driver's licence preferred.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug and alcohol screening.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in public transit operations, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of transit operations, applicable traffic laws, and safety regulations.
- Previous experience in customer service and employee supervision.
- Security, conflict resolution, or incident management training is considered an asset.
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in fast-paced or emergency situations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other Windows-based applications.
- Experience using transit management systems such as Geotab, Traffic Studio, or similar software is an asset.
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role, including boarding and inspecting transit vehicles.
- This is a full-time unionized position based in our Victoria location.
- Average 40 hours a week.
- Evening shift 2pm to 10:30 pm
