Vice President, People & Culture

Edmonton International Airport (YEG)

Date: 5 hours ago
City: Edmonton, AB
Contract type: Full time

Edmonton International Airport (YEG) is a dynamic and forward-thinking transportation hub, serving as a critical gateway for commerce, tourism, and innovation in Alberta and beyond. With a bold vision for growth and transformation, YEG is undertaking significant capital development projects to enhance infrastructure, sustainability, and passenger experience. YEG, Canada’s fifth-busiest airport, is operated by the Edmonton Regional Airports Authority (or Edmonton Airports), a community-based, not-for-profit corporation established in 1990. Edmonton Airports manages Edmonton International Airport (YEG) and Villeneuve Airport (ZVL). Edmonton Airports vision is simple: “More flights to more places.”

Based in the Edmonton area and reporting to the President & Chief Executive Officer, the Vice President, People & Culture is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team. With approximately 300 team members today, as YEG continues to evolve and grow, this leader will play a critical role in aligning workforce strategies with business priorities, operational excellence, customer service, innovation, safety, and long-term organizational success.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned executive whose broad experience enables meaningful impact. Naturally curious and committed to lifelong learning, they will quickly understand the nuances of leading in an operationally complex environment undergoing exciting transformation. With a collaborative, people-centred leadership style, they will align people and culture initiatives with organizational priorities and translate long-term business objectives into practical talent, leadership, and organizational effectiveness strategies that deliver measurable results, support sustainable growth, strengthen operational excellence, and enhance customer experiences.
