The Driver is responsible for providing the best-in-class service while delivering products and equipment to the customer. The successful candidate must have excellent customer service skills and high levels of attention and detail accuracy.
What does the Delivery Driver do?
- Operates a Class 5 licensed 5-ton straight truck, completing daily delivery routes to multiple customers, loading and unloading orders.
- Act as the "face of the company" by providing customers with best-in-world customer service.
- Ensure accuracy in product delivery.
- General housekeeping of the delivery truck.
- Daily circle checks, completion of logs as required as per our transportation policy and procedures manual.
- Operate lift trucks, power walkies, pump trucks, and order picking machine
- Communicate with warehouse staff and sales staff.
- Maintain a clean driver abstract and report any incidents or accidents that occur.
- Promptly report any delays due to breakdowns, weather, traffic conditions, or other emergencies.
- High school diploma
- Class 5 Driver’s License, class 3 or 1 would be an asset
- Clean Driver’s Abstract
- Ability to pass a security clearance (required to deliver to certain customers)
- Fork-lift license is an asset
