About The Role
Clutch is looking for an AP Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team! You are an inquisitive and detail-oriented individual who will find ways to efficiently process and reconcile the full expense cycle with accuracy and integrity.
In this position, you will assist in the full cycle Accounts Payable process, ensuring vendor invoices are reasonable and properly accounted for. You are a hard-working and thorough accounting professional who is not afraid to question expenditures and the status-quo. Working alongside the Finance & Accounting team, you will also be a key member in helping with the month-end close process.

About The Role
Clutch is looking for an AP Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team! You are an inquisitive and detail-oriented individual who will find ways to efficiently process and reconcile the full expense cycle with accuracy and integrity.
In this position, you will assist in the full cycle Accounts Payable process, ensuring vendor invoices are reasonable and properly accounted for. You are a hard-working and thorough accounting professional who is not afraid to question expenditures and the status-quo. Working alongside the Finance & Accounting team, you will also be a key member in helping with the month-end close process.
What You'll Do
- Process and prepare payments timely and accurately via cheque, EFT, wires, bill payment to customers, employees, vendors and lenders.
- Reconcile and summarize corporate credit card transactions, ensuring proper documentation and support is provided.
- Process vendor invoices in a timely manner in accordance with required approvals and our chart of accounts.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and communicate with relevant departments to ensure any discrepancies are resolved and invoices are paid on a timely basis.
- Manage source documents and ensure our records are organized, complete and accurate.
- Assist the Finance & Accounting team with month-end close process and year-end audit requests.
- Work closely with the Finance & Accounting team on various ad-hoc projects that will improve and maintain the accounts payable function of the company.
- You have a post-secondary education in Accounting
- You have a minimum of 2 years experience in full cycle accounts payable, working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
- You are proficient in Excel and you have the ability to quickly learn new applications/tools.
- You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) and you are able to develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and vendors.
- You are entrepreneurial and a hustler: you do what it takes to get the job done and enjoy working hard.
- You are team-oriented: you enjoy working with a team towards common goals and are willing to assist your team members when necessary.
- You have experience working with accounting systems. Experience with PBS Systems is considered an asset, but not required.
- You are comfortable working 100% on-site at our Downtown Toronto office at 60 Adelaide St. E.
- Experience in the automotive industry or just love cars!
