Position Information

The Ontario Lung Screening Program's (OLSP) Administrative Assistant 1 is responsible for performing a full range of clerical and administrative support services to assist the OLSP clinical team in assessing, triaging, and scheduling participants for this regional screening program. Responsibilities include data entry, preparing and filing correspondence, scheduling appointments, answering or redirecting incoming communications, taking messages, maintaining records in Epic and other relevant programs, and faxing.

Temporary position until September 25, 2026 approximately

Rotation/Shifts

Days, 8 hour shifts.

Basic Requirements

  • Post-Secondary Diploma in a Secretarial Program or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Two (2) years related clerical experience;
  • Intermediate Word;
  • Intermediate Excel;
  • Computer literacy;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Tact, judgment, and initiative;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Eligible to work in Canada;
  • Proficiency in English and French - oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level).


Language proficiency requirements are based on the nature of the position and the level of interaction with French and English-speaking clients.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Epic;
  • Experience with pre-hospital health care, documentation and data management.
