Analyst, Program Governance - Hard Discount
The Hard Discount Division’s purpose is to Feed Everyone. We take great pride in providing Canadians with fresh, affordable, high-quality groceries within our banners, Maxi and No Frills. Our commitment to Feed Everyone is reflected in our price leadership, assortment relevance, and convenient locations. Our 500-store network is fueled by our dedicated team of colleagues and owners who provide a simple customer experience, instore and online. We aim to empower Canadians to Live Life Well by making groceries accessible and affordable for everyone.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Program Governance, the Analyst, Program Governance, will play a critical role in ensuring our Maxi, No Frills, Control Brand (No Name, PC Insiders), and Enterprise programs are flawlessly executed, relevant to our customers, and driving impact for our Division.

Analyst, Program Governance - Hard Discount

Key Responsibilities
Ensure programs are flawlessly executed in stores.
- Stand up integrity reporting process to ensure all Hard Discount programs are properly planned, priced, and checked. Identify any areas where programs might conflict or pricing might be misaligned, with the goal of zero errors (e.g., New Lower Prices, Always, No Name Switch & Save, Control Brand Programs).
- Set up process for price checks, including checking prices versus our competitors and working with the Pricing and Promo teams to lock prices.
- Align with Marketing team on store signage specifications.
- Conduct store walks to further check program execution.
- Provide weekly reporting on the financial and customer impact of our programs, including a summary of key learnings and implications that can for continued improvement.
- Own, plan, and share weekly recap of upcoming program and promotional dates and deadlines with Merchandizing team
- Run and circulate regular promotional keying report
- Work closely with Data Analytics teams to leverage tools and technology to optimize the prices and key the promotions for Control Brand programs.
- Support in integrity checking, forecasting, and continual improvement of Control Brand programs.
- Post-secondary education or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in retail/merchandising or similar fields
- Expert knowledge of key merchandising and business programs (e.g., JDA, MicroStrategy, ABI, SAP).
- Expert technical skills in Excel.
- Excellent prioritization & organization skills.
- Impeccable attention to detail.
- Experience in project and process management.
- Passion for retail!
