A well-established and independent investment firm is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Clerk to join its finance team in Vancouver.
About the Role
This role is initially a 1-year contract with movement to a permanent opportunity and is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments while maintaining strong internal controls. It is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for financial accuracy.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities:
- Process and verify invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Manage payment cycles, including preparing electronic payments and issuing cheques.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies with vendors.
- Maintain accurate financial records and support month-end closing activities.
- Assist in implementing and improving accounts payable processes and controls.
- Work closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Support other accounting functions as needed.
- 2+ years of experience in an accounts payable or similar role.
- Diploma or degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with accounting software is an asset.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- $50,000-$55,000
- No benefits until a permanent opportunity is offered however, they can provide a bonus
- 3 weeks vacation
- Some flexibility on hybrid working after the probation period
