Job Description

The Application Specialist plays a crucial role in providing technical expertise and support for a variety of surveillance camera and video management applications and platforms. This position serves as the main point of contact for technical expertise and support of solutions. You will triage issues to internal support, vendors, or partners to ensure the solutions are operating effectively. This role is essential for maintaining the functionality and performance of surveillance camera and video management systems within the enterprise.

All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, troubleshoot and maintain physical security systems
  • Configuration of access control, surveillance cameras, and intercoms
  • Maintain updates on camera hardware and access control hardware
  • Participate in technical discussions for configuration, testing, and operations of our platform solutions
  • Ensure compliance to daily management checklist for operational effectiveness
  • Provide 'go live' and post 'go live' support for project and solution in general 
  • Upgrade and manage different environments and recommend ways for improving performance, availability, and scalability of solutions

Qualifications

  • Education Required: A university degree, college diploma or a related discipline
  • 5-10 years of experience
  • Technically inclined, process oriented and driven by natural curiosity 
  • Passionate about technology
  • Customer service mindset with a high level of attention to detail in all interactions, ensuring quality service 
  • A practiced communicator with strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
