About The Role
Amrize is seeking and experienced Asphalt Plant Operator to become part of our dynamic and fast-paced operations. As an Asphalt Plant Operator, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and safe production of asphalt, ensuring that all operational processes meet industry standards and company expectations
What You’ll Accomplish
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Additional Education Preferred: Mechanical trades or construction
Field of Study Preferred: Maintenance
Required Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years of Asphalt operations/production-related experience.
Required Training/Certifications: Heavy Equipment Operator
Required Technical Skills: Heavy machinery/equipment experience

What You’ll Accomplish
- Fully trained in the operations and capability of running an Asphalt plant ideally Astec
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously, and deal effectively with people using a facilitative approach including scaling, ticketing and assisting in asphalt orders
- Required to understand general knowledge and intermediate computer skills
- Communicates and promotes safety, compliance, and environmental requirements in alignment with Company standards
- Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers by addressing issues, questions or concerns in a timely manner
- Continuously communicating with plant operators, truckers, quality control and dispatch
- Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas
- Adhere to all company safety and environmental practices and policies – training provided
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

Additional Requirements
- Ability to run mixing operations on the plant in order to ensure material quality and compliance with specifications
- May require considerable physical activity, must be capable of heavy lifting, bending and twisting
- Operate and perform routine maintenance on heavy equipment and plants including keeping accurate and thorough records of plant performance and production
- Ensure consistent production to meet daily orders
- Monitors operational effectiveness through analysis of Key Performance Indicators
- Responsible for completing the daily checklist, journal and reports
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Overtime, night shifts and weekends are require.
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
