Position Title: Assembly and Test Technician

Location: Markham, Ontario

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent, On Site

General Function

The Assembly & Test Technician will be part of the Production team and will be responsible for assembling and testing products as per provided work orders, drawings and instructions. The successful candidate will also perform general duties as specified by the Production Team Lead.

  • Assemble products as per provided work orders, drawings and instructions.
  • Use power tools and hand tools to assemble products.
  • Use soldering and desoldering tools for assembly and repairs.
  • Work independently to complete work orders and other tasks assigned by the Production Team Lead.
  • Perform quality checks as required.
  • Pack finished products and prepared for shipping.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Perform general duties as specified by the Production Team Lead.

Qualification

  • Post-Secondary Education is preferred.
  • Ability to take measurements to perform tasks such as cutting wire to specific lengths or drilling holes in the correct location.
  • 2-3 years of general assembly experience.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • High attention to detail is essential with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a busy environment.
  • High attention to quality and needs of internal and external customers.
  • Ability to operate pump trucks, power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a positive attitude.
  • Physically capable of performing the essential duties of the job, including lifting up to 50lbs.
  • Understand and rigorously follow all approved procedures and processes. These include but are not limited to the Manufacturing Work Order Processing Procedure.
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • High attention and adherence to the company’s health & safety policy
