As an Automation Solution Specialist, you will work on our core network management products as well as products and services which are critical to our engineering operations.
The NSP products are built using various technologies, including:
- Containerization (Kubernetes, Docker, Helm)
- Web Application Frameworks (Apache Tomcat)
- Web Technologies (HTML, REST)
- Various data storage technologies (Postgres, Neo4j)
- Linux (RHEL), Windows, Virtual Machines (KVM, VMware)
Your responsibilities will include:
- Development of automated tests in Python, Robot and JavaScript to exercise the above scenarios and enhance the existing automated regression framework
- Understand and become proficient at configuring IP and Optical networks based on Nokia Service Routers and routers from other major vendors
- Work within a Scrum team to develop System level/solution strategies and exercise test scenarios based on the feedback and analysis from other Nokia business units (regional, professional services, sales) and customer deployments
- Analysis and implementation of actions to improve and optimize customer experience in the NSP
- Work with new products and technologies managed by our management portfolio, including advancements to Service Routing, LTE and Optical technologies
You Have:
- 5-8 years of proven work experience
- Degree in Software, Computer or Electrical Engineering, in Computer Science, or equivalent
- Strong programming skills. Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. JavaScript, Python/Robot). Familiarity with automation frameworks
- Strong understanding of network management concepts and networking and routing protocols. Knowledge of IP/MPLS networking, familiarity with networking concepts, protocols (e.g. OSPF, BGP) and deployments (e.g. IP VPN, VPLS)
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g. GIT, CVS)
- Strong interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills
- Knowledge of designing, creating, executing and troubleshooting both application specific and integrated End-to-end automated test cases, scripts, and scenarios.
- Knowledge of Web based technologies.
- Familiarity with REST API testing.
- Database knowledge (e.g. Postgres, Neo4j)
- Familiarity with Robot framework
- Familiarity with OpenStack, JIRA
- Familiarity/proficiency with RHEL
