The Acorn is looking for a passionate, detail-oriented, and experienced Bar Manager to lead our bar program with creativity, care, and integrity. We’re a values-driven team with a strong commitment to sustainability, collaboration, and hospitality—and we’re looking for someone who genuinely wants to contribute to what we’ve built.

This is a leadership position for someone who takes pride in their work, values communication, and wants to see the restaurant thrive as a whole. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a thoughtful, creative bar program aligned with The Acorn’s ethos, including seasonal cocktails and non-alcoholic offerings.
  • Collaborate with local suppliers to source high-quality, sustainable spirits, beer, wine, and ingredients.
  • Foster a supportive, honest, and growth-oriented bar team environment.
  • Uphold and improve upon our zero-waste goals in all aspects of bar service.
  • Provide exceptional, engaged guest service that reflects our hospitality-first mindset.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and costing with precision and transparency.
  • Train front-of-house staff on cocktails, wine, and sustainability practices.
  • Contribute to floor service, supporting the team in our collaborative service model.

Qualifications

  • Previous bar management or lead bartender experience in a high-quality, fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and waste reduction.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with a high level of accountability.
  • Creative and technical cocktail knowledge, with an emphasis on local, seasonal ingredients.
  • Knowledge of local producers and interest in community-building.
  • Excellent attention to detail and integrity in handling all responsibilities.
  • WSET Level 2 or equivalent a plus.
