As a BID Coordinator working in the Alternative Projects Center of Expertise (APEX) team at Pomerleau Construction, you will play a key role in the production of an optimized and competitive technical proposal (the deliverable), in accordance with the client’s requirements. Supporting our work on large-scale building and infrastructure projects – ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion- you will coordinate internal and external resources, including design, drafting, estimation, legal affairs, and professional firms, for proposal production.

The expected salary range for this opportunity is $80,000 - $110,000. Please note that salaries may vary depending on the candidate’s experience and geographical location. Listed compensation is exclusive of bonus and in addition to our extensive employee benefits program which is listed above. Availability of certain benefits may vary based on the specific job role.

As a BID Coordinator working in the Alternative Projects Center of Expertise (APEX) team at Pomerleau Construction, you will play a key role in the production of an optimized and competitive technical proposal (the deliverable), in accordance with the client’s requirements. Supporting our work on large-scale building and infrastructure projects – ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion- you will coordinate internal and external resources, including design, drafting, estimation, legal affairs, and professional firms, for proposal production.
What You Will Do
- Develop the Bid Plan, including the proposal's organizational structure and communication channels with internal teams, partners, and external firms.
- Coordinate the internal proposal team (Design Manager, Construction Director, Proposal Writing Specialist) and ensure all required human resources are mobilized.
- Implement the bid strategy in collaboration with the Project Director or Vice President – Construction, covering technical, procurement, and subcontractor strategies.
- Prepare a Project Plan with estimated costs and ensure a document management system with proper document control is in place.
- Assess construction costs (CAPEX) with the Construction Director and estimation team, and work with the O&M partner on life-cycle costs (OPEX) for a P3 project.
- Identify and optimize cost-impacting factors with professional firms and the O&M team to enhance the net present worth (NPW).
- Develop a project schedule with stakeholder input, linked to a work breakdown structure (WBS) covering design, procurement, permits, construction, and commissioning.
- Oversee the preparation of agreements with legal advisors, conduct risk analysis, set and monitor the proposal schedule, lead meetings, draft technical texts, and collaborate on the proposal budget and final hand-over.
- A bachelor’s degree in architecture or engineering.
- At least 5 to 8 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in design-build proposal processes.
- Strong project management skills.
- PMP certification.
