THE ROLE
As a Bilingual (French) Benefits Specialist, your role is to provide outstanding client service while efficiently managing the administration and servicing of a designated block of direct clients. This position is a hybrid role based in Barrie, ON, working two days a week in office. Your responsibilities will include ensuring seamless communication with clients, addressing inquiries, and managing the overall satisfaction of the client base. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining strong client relationships and contributing to the overall success of our organization.
YOUR IMPACT
30 Days:
At the time of this posting, the estimated pay range for this position is $60,000-$65,000. Individual compensation within this range is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and education/training. This range reflects the base pay and does not encompass our comprehensive total rewards, benefits, and potential bonuses that we proudly offer.

YOUR IMPACT
- You will engage with clients within a proactive service model, ensuring best in class service
- You will service and support of retention and renewal process
- You will support onboarding of new clients, ensuring a smooth transition
- You will manage plan member eligibility in a Benefits Administration platform
- You will educate clients and administer plans to carrier guidelines and policy plan design
- You will engage with clients and providers by email, phone, and video meetings, as appropriate.
- You will manage claim and coverage inquiries
- You will manage plan amendments, coordinating with internal departments and carriers
- You will support clients with systems access and usability; provide support and training as users of multiple systems
- You are responsible for maintaining accurate client documents
- You will create and deliver client presentations as required
- You will perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager
30 Days:
- Engage in 1-on-1 meetings with each Benefit Specialist to understand the work flow.
- Complete CRM and WEBS basic training
- Review of training material and resources as it pertains to systems and processes
- Demonstrate ability to use Enrol-Me.
- Demonstrate initiative and willingness to learn new skills and improve existing skills
- Be able to determine which department at GroupHEALTH is responsible for specific lines of business/functions.
- Receive sign off for basic administrative changes
- Working understanding of each GroupHEALTH benefit and product offering
- Review and understand multicarrier eligibility guidelines
- Builds and supports teamwork with coworkers
- Confidently work within our internal systems WEBS and CRM and able to train clients on external use of WEBS
- Solid understanding of our client service expectations and new business processes.
- Consistent achievement of reaching a target SLA of 90% and developing promoters of GroupHEALTH
- Identify a raving fan of your WOW! service within first 90 days
- Completion of Group Life and Health Primer course (4 courses)
- You have a minimum of 2 years of customer service experience in an office or professional services setting is required.
- You have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- You have previous experience as a strong and effective communicator across various modalities, including e-mail, phone, and video.
- You have a genuine passion for customer service with a commitment to ensuring clients receive exceptional support.
- You have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a willingness to embrace change.
- You are comfortable working with multiple systems and possesses strong computer skills.
- You are capable of confidently presenting to a small audience.
- Previous experience with group benefits or customer service is considered an asset.
- You have experience with Group benefits such as insurance carrier, TPA, consulting house, or advisor support is preferred but not required.
- You are enrolled in, or have completed your GBA designation.
- You have Post-Secondary Education.
