Business Analyst

Position Description

We are Canada's largest independent information technology services firm, and after 40 years, we're still growing! We have an exciting career opportunity for a Business Analyst, based out of one of our Atlantic Canada provinces (NB, NS, PEI or NFLD). This hybrid position requires at least 2 days a week in office.

Your future duties and responsibilities

• Employ deep technical skill to analyze complex business processes and problems, identify alternative solutions, and recommend new approaches, typically seeking to exploit technology concepts and/or assist clients to understand gaps in business functions/processes typically served by technology
• Apply and monitor the use of required modeling and analysis tools, methods and standards
• Conduct investigations at a medium to high level for strategy studies, requirements specifications and feasibility studies
• Investigate operational requirements and problems, seeking effective business solutions through improvements in automated and non-automated components of new or changed processes
• Assist in the analysis of underlying issues arising from investigations into requirements and problems and identifies options for consideration
  
  

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

• 5+ years working as Business Analyst
• Our client requires the successful candidate to be eligible for Reliability clearance (requires 5+ years with a Canadian home address)
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
• Extensive Requirements gathering experience
• Excellent English, written and spoken is required
• Ability to read and understand a technical specification to build integrations
• Ability to analyze and determine root cause analysis is a benefit
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products
• Establish acceptance test criteria with client
• Support and use the selected departmental methodologies
• Perform business analyses of functional requirements to identify information, procedure, and decision flows
