Position Overview

The Manufacturing Capex/Opex Coordinator provides support, guidance and financial analysis to the production team and the finance department.

What You’ll Do

• Responsible for managing CAPEX/OPEX budgets
• Co-ordinate CAPEX/OPEX inputs from primes, track spend, suggest cost savings/improvement recommendations to plant manager
• Create Purchase Orders as needed ensuring the correct use of Accounting general ledger codes and Finance project codes
• Support Sr Cost accountant and process vendor invoices for payment in a timely manner in collaboration with the Accounts Payable department and follow-up with payment status as needed
• Track receipt of physical assets at the facilities and communicate those receipts to accounting for accrual
• Assist in the preparation of department reports, budgets and expenses as needed
• Works collaboratively with production department and Cost accountant to establish cost standards for manufacturing operations as required
• Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data
• Negotiate with vendors
• Other departmental tasks as required
  
  

Let's Talk About You

• Post-secondary Education with a focus on Administration and or Accounting preferred
• Experience working in a Manufacturing or apparel company preferred
• Computer Savvy. Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word, Outlook and advanced Excel
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Numeracy skills
• Negotiation skills, strong verbal and written communication and follow up skills
