Capital Asset Analyst

Our Finance Department is looking for a dedicated Capital Asset Analyst to join the team.

Position Responsibilities

• Conducting Financial analysis that includes but is not limited to development and intervention costs, short/long term reinvestment forecasting, life cycle analysis and economic forecasting
• Building quarterly updates of capital project summaries, ensuring accurate tracking of project funding sources and expenditures to date
• Capitalizing of tangible capital asset costs at end of project lifespan, insuring compliance with policies and public sector accounting standards
• Reconciliation of capital asset grant submissions, annual grant reporting, reconciliation of deferred capital revenue by funding sources, capital leasing and operational leasing
• Support of the Financial and Asset management system configurations, including workflows, processes, submissions, reporting and more.
• Provides support to the finance team to ensure compilation of reporting as well as other duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

• Candidates should bring 3 years of experience in Capital Asset Management, Capital Asset Forecasting, and work with TCA Assets. This position requires assisting in the implementation of software for asset maintenance or management of a similar program - considered an asset.
• Candidates should possess a university/college diploma in business administration, finance, engineering, planning, or a related field or approved equivalent combination of education and experience, with specialization in Capital Asset planning.
• Preferred: Asset Management or Financial Certifications and/or bachelor's degree.
  
  

Hours

The standard workweek consists of an average of 35 hours, with the specific schedule being determined by the immediate supervisor.

Compensation

Starting salary $36.11 to $46.69 per hour as per the Out-of-Scope Agreement.
