JOB PURPOSE:

Portfolio Management is a strategic key organizational capability area that will help deliver our Canadian financial ambition.

In our newly created role, you will be responsible for leading the analytics, development of recommendations to optimize and protect our shelf while implementing SKU Rationalization recommendations and innovation, including:

  • Support SKU performance, financial analysis, and portfolio evaluation.
  • Cross-Collaboration with Category Development, Supply Chain, Sales, and Marketing to drive alignment with the portfolio optimization recommendations.
  • Execution of recommendations to optimize planogram sets, considering timing for each customer, inventories, and logistics.
  • Communicate and report key stakeholders about progress on a monthly basis (MBR).
  • Updating scorecards and monitoring progress vs target, including gross margin impact driven by mix changes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role will provide YOU with the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following…

  • Understand Haleon’s portfolio performance and competitive landscape by category. (i.e. Sales, Growth vs PY, Share of Market, Distribution, etc…).
  • Digest current portfolio recommendations and key variables that lead to it (refer to internal tools).
  • Work with the category development team to better understand the customers' planogram layouts, SKU implications, and timing by category.
  • Create a master program to manage changes in the planogram, timing, communication with customers, and execution.
  • Customize retailer presentations and recommendations, and play a key role in selling to customers.
  • Develop an internal scorecard to track progress and financial impact driven by portfolio optimization recommendations.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field.
  • 3 to 4 years’ background in an analysis or business strategy role, preferably in CPG.
  • Strong experience using Nielsen syndicated data.
  • Solid understanding of JDA planogram software experience
  • Strong written and verbal presentation communication skills to influence an audience.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues across all functions and brands.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform analytics and generate results by using Excel.
  • Innovative thinking to develop insight-based recommendations and implement strategies to increase profitability.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint) and POWER BI.
  • Self-starter with strong interpersonal skills, including being an excellent communicator and presenter.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Retail Management Experience.
  • Revenue Management Background.
  • Category Management Background.
  • Ability to interpret a P&L statement.
