EveryMind (formerly Peel Children's Centre/Nexus Youth Services) is looking for highly skilled, experienced and enthusiastic mental health social workers and psychotherapists to work with other intensive services professionals to provide a continuum of mental health interventions to children/youth and their families. We are an accredited children’s mental health centre that provides a continuum of high-quality mental health services for children, youth and their families in Peel Region who are experiencing social, emotional and/or behavioural challenges.
Summary of Intensive Services and the Clinician Role:
Along with a multi-disciplinary team comprised of Crisis workers, Wraparound facilitators, Child and Youth Counsellors, Psychologists, and Psychiatrists, the Intensive Child & Family Clinician (CFC) will provide family-centred treatment to children and youth, ages 7-17. In partnership with children, youth and families, working within an attachment and trauma-informed framework (ARC-Attachment, Regulation, Competency), this team provides skilled assessment, formulation and treatment services employing evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behaviour Theory (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills, and Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), to enhance family and child/youth interactions and functioning at home, in school, and in the community. The clinician delivers treatment at home, in the community, in day treatment, or in live-in treatment with some virtual care an option.
Salary - 5- step range of $70,345- $82,293 over 5 years

The incumbent will:
- Collaborate with teams to provide biopsychosocial assessments and formulations;
- Develop, implement and regularly evaluate treatment plans according to individual client and family/caregiver needs, goals, strengths and cultural values;
- Provide psychotherapy using evidenced based/informed treatment modalities
- Assist in the enhancement of the child and family’s informal and formal supports;
- Support client safety by continually assessing risks, implement the agency safety protocol; and supporting clients and families to create safety plans using the Holistic Crisis Planning approach
- Provide case management and outreach services to ensure coordination and delivery of services that meet changing needs of clients and families;
- Contribute to transitional support and discharge planning for clients exiting service to ensure sustainability of treatment gains;
- Facilitate groups and workshops as required;
- Provide in-person service with virtual and telephone treatment interventions based on client need;
- Participate as an active member of a multidisciplinary team in team, clinical, and agency meetings;
- Maintain comprehensive case records and data for all clients in accordance with the organizations’ standards and timelines
- Participate in regular clinical supervision and demonstrate openness to feedback and your own professional growth
- Uphold and practice in keeping with the agency’s values
- A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counselling Psychology or health-related field with a minimum of three years experience in direct service to children and families OR Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work/health-related field with a minimum of 5 years experience.
- Be a member in good standing of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario;
- Embraces diversity and demonstrated cultural awareness with critical self-awareness and understanding of engagement with diverse cultures;
- Possess exceptional interpersonal, team, and conflict resolution skills with an ability to collaborate effectively with internal/external partners, clients and their families;
- Demonstrates the ability to effectively collaborate using psychotherapy interventions and case management skills to support and empower families, fostering positive outcomes through a coordinated and empathetic approach.
- Exhibits a strong knowledge base and proven ability to practice through an anti-racist, anti-oppressive lens
- Proven ability to be self-motivated and comfortable working in a variety of settings i.e. school, home, community, and live in treatment setting
- Knowledge of relevant legislation for children/youth services;
- Strong technology skills and experience with client care information systems and Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Zoom, and comfortable with use of apps;Utilize high levels of oral and written communication skills, time management and critical thinking skills with a strong understanding of role boundaries. Proficiency in languages in addition to English is an asset;
- Have a valid Ontario Driver’s license (Full G Class), use of a vehicle with a comfort in driving throughout the Peel Region (and surrounding areas);
- Commitment to work 37.5 hours per week, including 2 evenings a week up to 8pm as per client/family needs and availability
- Ability to work in a hybrid setting, to offer in person and virtual support based on client and program need
- Group facilitation experience is an asset.
- A Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check and Pre-Employment Medical screening (including TB test, MMR, TD, Polio, Covid-19 Vaccination), is required;
