Job Summary
Work Term: Fall 2026 (September - December)
The Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) is seeking to hire students who are looking for a Co-op or internship placement opportunity from September 2026 to December 2026.
Eligibility: We will only be considering applicants enrolled in an accredited Co-op or Internship program in line with their program requirements from their post-secondary academic institution.

- Respond to client requests for creation, filing, charge in/out of corporate files.
- Support retention and disposition activities.
- Participate in information digitization and quality assurance.
- Provide information management advice and guidance to clients related to Information Management policies, procedures and initiatives.
- Respond to client requests for creation, filing, charge in/out of corporate files.
- Support retention and disposition activities;
- Coordinate the management of information holdings by developing project objectives/plans, quality control standards, contributing training programs and assisting in planning cycle;
- Resolve problems by analyzing and advising on policies, procedures and technology by using information from open and classified sources as well as project management methodology.
- Prepare communiqués and correspondence for management.
- Provide initial reports to assess the integrity of the applications in accordance with user requirements and application demands.
Registered full-time in one of the following academic paths and years at the time of placement:
- College Diploma student in their 3 rd year;
- Undergraduate degree student in their 3rd year or higher;
- Graduate-level student (Master’s or Ph.D.)

Experience
Candidates with the following experience will be prioritized:
Experience may have been acquired through formal and informal settings (e.g. school, volunteer work experience or projects)
- Experience providing client service (e.g. responding to queries, providing advice on policies and procedures);
- Experience using word processors, as well as spreadsheet and e-mail applications;
- Experience performing general administrative duties including file organization and management (search and retrieval).
- Experience in data entry and data quality assurance and integrity.
- Experience working in an information management or record keeping environment in an information administration capacity.
- Experience developing documents such as: awareness/information materials and/or communications, presentations, procedures;
- Experience working with an electronic document and records management system (e.g. Open Text eDOCS, EDRMS/RDIMS/IRIMS, etc.);
- Experience in compiling, organizing, and drafting a wide variety of documents such as: correspondence, assessments, graphs, tables, dashboards and/or presentations to support the Branch activities;
- Experience in conducting research and analysis in a variety of issues/problems and providing input.
