Responsibilities And Duties
Develop and execute commodity sourcing strategies and align business requirements with supplier capabilities. Work closely with engineering team and products management team and develop sourcing strategies that meet product and business requirements. Source strategic component partners as well as develop and manage long term strategic partnership.
Manage AVL (approved vendor list) including supplier capability assessment, selection, qualification and performance management, and business negotiation. Conduct QBR/ PBR with approved vendors and ensure suppliers’ performance and capabilities consistently aligned with business requirements. Conduct supplier roadmap discussion and influence key suppliers’ product/ technology roadmap to align with company’s product requirements.
Manage component RFQs and continuously drive cost reduction including analyzing component cost and market, identifying cost reduction opportunities, executing alternative sources, and implementing pricing benchmarking, etc. Negotiate component pricing periodically based on company’s required schedule and promotion plans.
Assess business risks and develop risk mitigation plans. Conduct purchasing spending analysis and future purchasing projection for assessing business opportunities and risks.
Negotiate agreements and contracts. Supporting cross-functional teams in negotiation of critical issues. Create and maintain purchasing related data including but not limited to RFQ, quarterly pricing, purchasing spending and projection.

Qualifications
- 5+ years purchasing experience with commodity/product supplier managing.
- 5+ years of experience in high volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environment preferred.
- 5+ years of direct experience in supplier/supply chain management preferred.
- Strong written/verbal communication and negotiating skills in Chinese & English
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams from different time zones.
- Team player with strong interpersonal communication
- Result and detail oriented
- Strong data analytical skills within depth knowledge of Microsoft office
- BS/BA from an accredited University/College required.
