Copywriter (Regulatory Compliance - 6-mos contract)

Our client is a global leader in ecommerce, is they're seeking an experienced Copywriter to join their Regulatory Compliance team on a 6-month contract

This role offers a unique opportunity to shape critical seller-facing content that supports international regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate is a strong writer with experience translating complex legal and regulatory topics into accessible content across various formats.

Location: Toronto, ON

Hybrid - 6-month contract (with potential for renewal)

Key Responsibilities

• Craft compelling and clear content supporting regulatory rollouts across multiple formats: emails, videos, landing pages, internal scripts, presentations, and more
• Align messaging across global teams (Legal, Product, Program Leads) to ensure consistent and accurate communication
• Lead AI-based copy testing, analyze results, and optimize messaging for performance
• Monitor campaign performance, manage timelines, and coordinate stakeholder approvals
• Support international teams with flexible working hours and maintain strong cross-functional relationships
  
  

Requirements

• 7+ years of copywriting experience, including work on content for websites, presentations, speeches, and email
• Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or related field
• Experience in ecommerce, online marketplaces, and regulatory content (especially tax or cross-border trading)
• Strong communication, organization, and independent work skills
• Familiarity with collaboration tools (Slack, Zoom, Microsoft Office); multilingual abilities a plus
