We are looking for a talented and motivated Functional Analyst to join our Solutions & Innovations Delivery team. Reporting to the Functional Manager of the core banking system, he or she will become a key member of the team, helping to strengthen our technical documentation and business line support capabilities.

The ideal candidate will have solid experience in functional analysis, as well as in-depth knowledge of the banking industry and financial products and services. In addition, experience in mainframe applications is desirable for this position. We are also looking for someone with strong commercial acumen, able to work closely with business lines to understand their business context and needs.

Responsibilities

  • Work in collaboration with corporate IT teams and business lines to provide core system expertise
  • Coordinate and lead workshops to understand business processes and document requirements
  • Translate collected business requirements into detailed functional specifications required by development teams.
  • Ensure standardized documentation of business functionalities linked to the central system
  • Provide functional and technical support to business lines in understanding issues and identifying solutions and/or improvements in line with their business objectives
  • Participate in application testing and validation phases.
  • Become an expert in the company's knowledge of mainframe applications.
  • Document user processes and interactions with Mainframe systems and subsystems.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure implementation of solutions.
  • Follow up development requests to ensure that they are carried out according to established priorities, on time and with the desired level of quality.

Qualifications

  • University degree in a relevant field and a minimum of six years' experience as a functional analyst
  • Experience in the financial services sector, such as retail and corporate banking, lending products, investment services
  • Proficiency in writing functional requirements.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to interact professionally with business stakeholders and negotiate effectively to manage business deliverables
  • Initiative, ability to deal with ambiguity, multiple stakeholders and priorities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Experience of working with different banking systems and products
  • Practical experience of Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow or related tools
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, results-oriented attitude, diligence, and sense of urgency.
  • Bilingual* (French and English) required, both written and spoken.
  • Professional working proficiency in French and English languages required as position involves frequent written and oral communication on complex matters with internal and external parties in both languages.
